SHOTS HAPPEN
by Alessandra D'Intino
The idea was born out of years of photographic errors. While cleaning up during my move, I found discarded negatives that were full of mistakes: Overlaps, smudges, multiple exposures, overprints of roll numbers.... It was precisely these technical flaws that made the trivial pictures interesting and unique - I could also discover something about myself in them: The realisation and acceptance that it is precisely my flaws that have made me who I am and made the people around me and the analogue medium love me. It is a discourse both on the importance of imperfection, and on the fascination that analogue photography is again increasingly awakening in all of us.
